CULTURAL PROGRAMME….CLASSES II AND III

 

 THE JR. SCHOOL OF ST. JOSEPH’S ORGANISED A CULTURAL PROGRAMME, WHICH SAW THE STUDENTS OF CLASSES II AND III , DISPLAYING THEIR SKILLS AT DANCING, ACTING AND SINGING WITH GREAT PROFICIENCY.

THE PROGRAMME COMMENCED WITH THE LIGHTING OF THE LAMP BY THE CHIEF GUEST, PRINCIPAL REV. BRO. GEORGE. A GRACE FUL PRAYER DANCE BY THE GIRLS OF CLASSES II AND III, INVOKED THE BLESSING OF THE ALMIGHTY AND ALSO SET THE STAGE FOR THE  PERFORMANCES FOR THE DAY. THE BUDDING ACTORS STAGED AN ENGLISH PLAY, “DAY FOR NIGHT IN ULTAPUR” AND A HINDI PLAY “JUMMAN MIYA KA PAJAMA” WHICH  LEFT THE AUDIENCE IN AWE OF THEIR ACTING ACUMEN!  THE STUDENTS OF CLASSES II AND III MESMERISED THE GATHERING WITH THEIR MELLIFLUOS SINGING AND  ELECTRIFYING DANCES. THE FAMILIAR CHARACTERS OF FAIRYTALES CAME ALIVE IN THE FANCY DRESS SHOW PUT UP BY CLASS III, AND GRANDMA COULD HAVE GONE ON AND ON FOR EONS WITH HER TALE, HAD TIME PERMITTED!!!! THE STUDENTS OF CLASS II , HAD EVERY FOOT TAPPING AND EVERY ONE HUMMING , THE TUNE OF A PEPPY ACTION SONG, “ LISTEN TO THE MUSIC”.  THE SYNCHRONISED WESTERN DANCE ON THE JUNGLE SONG, LEFT EVERYONE SPELL BOUND AS THEY WATCHED THE CHILDREN WHIRLING AND TWIRLING EFFORTLESS TO THE PULSATING BEAT OF THE SONG.  THIS WAS FOLLOWED BY A FOLK DANCE BY A VIBRANT  RAJASTHANI FOLK DANCE BY THE GIRLS OF CLASSES II AND III.  THE CHILDREN ALSO PUT FORTH AN ACT DEPICTING THE SOLIDARITY OF INDIA, WITH VANDEMATRAM PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND.THE HIGH VOLTAGE PERFORMANCES, CAME TO A BEFITTING FINALE WITH THE MUSICAL BALLET……”.I LOVE THE RAIN”, PUT TOGETHER BY THE STUDENTS OF CLASS II. THE MUSIC, THE THUNDER , THE LIGHTENING, THE SONGS , THE DANCES , THE DRAMATIC EFFECTS…..YES THE ENTIRE ACT WAS TRULY A TREAT TO THE EYES AND EARS. THE CULTURAL PROGRAMME WAS A PERFECT BLEND OF CREATIVITY, IMAGINATION, SKILL AND HARDWORK PUT TOGETHER.

REV. BRO GEORGE APPLAUDED THE STUDENTS OF CLASSES II AND III FOR THEIR SCINTILLATING PERFORMANCES AND CONGRATULATED THE TEACHERS FOR ENSURING AN UNPRECEDENTED PARTICIPATION BY THE STUDENTS. HE ALSO GAVE AWAY THE PRIZES TO THE WINNERS OF THE RAKHI MAKING COMPETITION WHICH WAS HELD THE PREVIOUS WEEK.

THE JR. SCHOOL COORDINATOR, MRS HASAN, PROPOSED THE VOTE OF THANKS. ALONG WITH HER TEAM OF COMMITTED STAFF SHE SPECIALLY THANKED THE PARENTS AND THE GRAND PARENTS FOR THEIR CONTINUED AND WHOLE HEARTED SUPPORT . SHE THANKED BRO. GEORGE , FOR ALWAYS INSPIRING HER AND HER STAFF MEMBERS TO MOTIVATE CHILDREN TO DISCOVER THEIR TALENTS AND ABILITIES, ALONG WITH EXCELLING IN ACADEMICS.

THE PROGRAMME CONCLUDED WITH THE SINGING OF THE SCHOOL SONG………….THE JOSEPHITES SANG IN UNISON WITH PRIDE FOR BEING A PART OF “THE PEARL OF THE VALE OF THE DOON”.
